Lisa grew up in sunny San Diego, where she cultivated a passion for kicking some serious behind both in and outside of a boxing ring. With a passion for fighting injustice and an English degree from U.C. Berkeley, she embarked on her law school journey with the goal of becoming a litigator. After graduating law school, she began fighting and traveling in Thailand, where she discovered a love of remote work and a love of helping small companies and startups achieve big goals. Since then, Lisa has represented athletes, promotional and marketing companies, gyms, and small and large venues all over the world.
Lisa has worked as an attorney for multiple transactional and litigation firms in California, honing expertise as a generalist who companies can come to for a wide array of expertise regarding issues that small companies face. She has experience with entity formation, employment law, intellectual property law, commercial lease law, business purchases and sales, mergers and acquisitions, and plenty in between.
Lisa is also passionate about consumer advocacy and has experience with debt collection, breaches of contract, misrepresentation, and fraud. She has not only written demand letters and settlement agreements, she has consulted with numerous clients about small claims court and consumer complaint options.
Moreover, as an attorney who has seen real estate transactions and litigation from both the landlord and tenant perspectives, Lisa loves to help businesses navigate and negotiate commercial leases that work for their business use needs.
As a member of the digital nomad community, Lisa has developed expertise in drafting both California-based and international privacy policies and web copy to ensure compliance with ever-evolving legal standards. Lisa loves connecting with and working with digital nomads in helping design the lifestyle of their dreams while operating within the metes and bounds of legal requirements for doing so. Lisa is a zealous advocate of remote-first work and dedicated to helping clients and companies achieve dynamic remote environments while complying with the law.
When not in the office or in the gym, you can find Lisa and her Nordic husband bonding with any one of her six cats, or getting a gnarly arm infection from trying to feed a feral street cat (true story!).
